To win power, and to stay in power for more than one term, Labour needs to do something special.

The Guardian has reported that Labour is planning to ditch radical reforms and only offer ‘safe policies’ in a stripped-down, cautious manifesto that is “bombproof” to Tory attacks.

A general election is more democratic than a referendum

Today, Labour voted against being an unequivocal Remain party. So, what is their position on Brexit? Apparently, we won't know for sure until (and if) they win the next general election. 

Parliament cannot bind a future Parliament

Brexiters often say that the referendum result is a done deal and cannot be changed. But that’s not how our democracy works.

Can vote but don't? Shame on you.

Don’t tell me that voting doesn’t make a difference. Remain would have won last year’s referendum if those who could vote but didn’t had voted.

Can UK become the richest economy?

Tory Chancellor George Osborne has claimed that Britain can become the world’s richest economy.  He said that within 15 years Britain could be richer than the USA and, “become the most prosperous of any major economy by the 2030s”.

But three years ago Jo Johnson, MP, author of the Tory's 2015 manifesto, told me Britain can never again be the world's richest economy.
